Abstract
- The article focuses on a study which examines the effect of both calcium-based and non-calcium-based phosphate binders on mortality in patients with chronic kidney diseases (CKD). According to the study, International Pharmaceutical Abstracts, Excerpta Medica and Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials have been used for published randomized controlled trials (RCTs) and non-RCTs. A table is also presented which depicts that non–calcium-based phosphate binders lowers mortality and CKDs.
