Abstract: Presents a retraction by 'Nature' magazine on the study on superconductivity in single crystals of the fullerene C[sub 70] as a result of an independent investigation from conducted at the behest of the Bell Laboratories. Committee's concerns related to the validity of data associated with the device measurements described in the paper; Legitimate ideas and contributions included in the paper.
