Abstract
- The article discusses the initial assessment and evaluation of peripheral arterial disease (PAD). Topics discussed include claudication, which is the most common presentation of lower extremity PAD, differential diagnosis of PAD, and vascular examination by location and method. Also mentioned are the vascular laboratory testing for the disease, such as exercise testing, perfusion testing and vascular imaging.
