Abstract
- An essay is presented on U.S. Supreme Court (USSC) Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg's twenty-year tenure on the nation's highest court as of November 2013, focusing on Ginsburg's judicial opinion in the 2003 case Norfolk & Western Railway v. Ayers which deals with the U.S. Federal Employers Liability Act (FELA) and six plaintiffs who were reportedly suffering from asbestosis. According to the article, Ginsburg knows that the USSC's cases are about people, their lives, and their livelihoods.
