Abstract

The article discusses the U.S. Supreme Court's ruling in the 2013 case Kiobel v. Royal Dutch Petroleum Co. which deals with the U.S. Alien Tort Statute, a presumption against extraterritoriality, and alleged violations of universal human rights norms.
