Abstract
- The article mentions the common features of propofol infusion syndrome (PRIS) which include metabolic acidosis, cardiac dysfunction and hypertriglyceridaemia. It adds that risk factors for developing the PRIS include severe head injuries, sepsis, and glucocorticoid levels. It highlights that general intensive care units in Great Britain have encountered several PRIS cases as quoted by researcher R. Roberts and colleagues.
