Abstract

Highlights: [•] Designing a net hole was effective to achieve uniform distribution SiC particles and prevent agglomeration of them. [•] SZ has fine and equiaxed grains and distribution of SiC particles in the matrix is almost uniform. [•] No intermetallic compound was formed after FSP. [•] In comparison to pure Cu, Cu/SiC composite shows higher hardness and better wear behavior. [Copyright &y& Elsevier]
