Abstract
- The article offers an update on digital library projects in the U.S. as of November 2013. Particular focus is given to the online service Google Books, digital repository HathiTrust and the Digital Public Library of America (DPLA). Issues regarding copyright, orphan works, metadata and quality of large-scale digital libraries arising from these projects are examined. Also mentioned is the court case The Authors Guild versus HathiTrust, which focuses on copyright infringement.
