Abstract
- The article features the Elveden farms, a rye grower in Suffolk, England. According to the article, the rye thrives better on the Breckland soils of the farm than wheat and barley. Senior farms manager Andrew Francis explains that the arable land of the estate is mostly planted by vegetables and rye is idea as a break crop in its six-course rotation. He adds that rye is drought tolerant and fits well into a second cereal slot.
