Abstract

The article presents a green-gauss/weighted-least squares hybrid gradient reconstruction method that is applicable to wide-ranging grid types or geometries, inspite of the growing attention to more sophisticated, higher order methods. It describes the Euler equations, which is discretized for finite volume method (FVM) and applied to a polyhedral computational cell. The flow computation around two-dimenstional airfoils using hybrid mesh is discussed.
