Abstract

The article discusses a trend among elite business schools of graduates choosing jobs in technology instead of finance. Between 2012 and 2013 the percentage of Harvard Business School graduates going into technology rose from 12% to 18%, while those selecting finance fell from 35% to 27%. Yale University and Cornell University have seen similar results at their respective business schools. Derrick Bolton of Stanford University's business school says students are drawn to innovative firms.
