Abstract
- Highlights: [•] We report the DHA biosynthesis through zebrafish fatty acid desaturase (Z-FADS), and elongases (ELOVL2, 4 and 5). [•] First report to demonstrate that Z-FADS interacts with CYB5Rs (2 and 3) and ELOVLs (2, 4, 5 and 7) by FRET. [•] Modeling the trans-membrane helices for ELOVL2, 4, 5 and 7 by FRET. [•] Z-FADS locates not only in endoplasmic reticulum but also in mitochondria in HeLa cells. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
