Abstract
- The article offers information on Sepia apama, a giant Australian cuttlefish, whose mantle length can exceed half a metre, while its mass has been recorded at a hefty 12 kilograms. It is noted that population of the cuttlefish has reduced significantly in the last decade and researchers speculate that increase in salinity in the gulf due to expansion of industrial activity is the main reason for the decline of the population of cuttlefish.
