Abstract

The author reflects on the identification of generic medicine into the branded medicines. He says that a biological drugs (biologics) that are based on sugars, proteins and nucleic acids are not considered as generic drugs. He states that similar biological medicinal products commonly known as biosimilars are not also generic drugs.
