Dendritic cells in liver injury and fibrosis: Shortcomings and promises.

Summary: The phenotype and function of liver dendritic cells (LDCs) are poorly understood. This Snapshot summarizes our current knowledge on LDCs in the healthy and injured liver, and their role in fibrosis progression and reversal.
