Abstract

The article presents observations on attacks of killer whales Bryde's whales in Galápagos Islands in Ecuador. It states that eight photographs were analyzed, showing the predatory event that occurred in Bolívar Channel located between Isabela Islands and Fernandina. It mentions that Bryde's whales lacked resistance and did not have defensive mechanisms. It adds that killer whales showed effective predation and group coordination.
