Abstract
- The article presents a study on the antenatal diagnosis of Down Syndrome on pregnant women. It mentions the quantification of its amelioration through estimating the number of women who took the tests per syndrome screening from 1991-2010. It notes the application of data on prenatal chorionic villus sampling (CVS) and amniocentesis samples to determine the rate of diagnoses of the disorder along with Edwards and Patau syndrome. It also points out its benefit in reducing foetal deaths.
