Abstract

The article offers information on the existence of regulatory gene in the pathogenic process of rare type of immune-mediated inflammatory skin diseases, Generalized pustular psoriasis (GPP) and Psoriasis vulgaris (PV). It states that these diseases are caused by mutation in the interleukin 36 receptor antagonist gene (IL36RN). It notes that the mutation can be identified by exome sequencing, a diagnostic tool for specific genetic diseases.
