Investigates acquisition of food by three- to six-month old hand-reared coyotes of different social rank in an area familiar to the coyotes with and without (safe and potentially unsafe environments). Assessment of data; Suggests the importance of social rank as a role in the coyote's vulnerability to novel conditions.
