Abstract
- The article discusses the right way to conduct ultrasonic continuous level measurement. It notes that ultrasonic is one of five non-contacting level measurement technologies which include radar, nuclear, laser, and weight. It explains the "time of flight" principle that goes into the operation of ultrasonic level sensors and cites physical installation considerations such as compatibility of sensor housing material, and operating temperature range.
