The New, Nonlinear Path Through College.

The article examines the nontraditional enrollment paths many college students take through higher education which includes attending multiple institutions, engaging in co-op programs and internships, and taking courses from alternative providers or through massive open online courses (MOOCs). According to the author, higher education is still designed in a linear fashion despite students' increasing preferences for options. He suggests a student-center approach to education design.
