Abstract

Highlights: [•] Dehydration of amicite was studied using single-crystal X-ray diffraction. [•] Amicite was found to dehydrate into two separate Na- and K-rich phases. [•] Crystal structures of K and Na phases were solved and refined in space group I2/a. [•] K- and Na-rich domains homogenize to initial phase under ambient conditions. [Copyright &y& Elsevier]
