Abstract

Highlights: [•] Substance-dependent subjects discount delayed rewards at higher rates than controls. [•] Cocaine- and nicotine-dependents discount more than those dependent on nicotine only. [•] Cocaine- and nicotine-dependents do not discount more than those dependent on cocaine only. [•] Delay discounting rates differ depending on the type of SUD. [•] No cumulative effect of number of SUD on delay discounting was observed. [Copyright &y& Elsevier]
