In the treatment of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder the relational aspects play a central role, both those related to the interpersonal context of the patient's life and those related to the therapist-client relationship. In particular, in this article, the therapeutic relationship is discussed. It is analysed in which way it can be used by the clinician in a strategical way to pursue the therapeutic purposes, just like the different strategies of intervention that the therapist has at his disposal, talking about the principal phases of psychotherapy, from the early interviews to the end of the therapy.
