Abstract
- The article discusses the development of passenger jet technology in the Soviet Union. Focus is given to the work of Soviet aircraft designer Andrei Nikolaevich Tupolev, particularly the Tu-104 jet-powered airliner and the multiple fatal accidents associated with it and its predecessor, the Tu-4 jet bomber.
