Abstract: The author discusses activities and conditions on his farm at Dunsden Green in south Oxfordshire, England as of September 20, 2013. He describes the rapid completion of harvesting and poor yields caused by a combination of shallow rooting and extreme heat in early July 2013. The establishment of oilseed rape in a timely manner is mentioned. Farm machinery company Kockerling's failure to deliver a drill control box for variable drilling is also cited.
