Abstract

The article discusses an increase in the prevalence of methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus pseudintermedius (MSRP) in dogs. It mentions that the transmission of the MSRP can impact interactions between humans and their pets and also affect patient care in veterinary practices. It highlights that Staphylococcal infections leads to simple skin infections, dermatologic disorders and severe bacteremias which can cause multiorgan failure and death.
