Abstract

The article offers information on the research related to the use of benzodiazepines as a protective factor for community-acquired pneumonia (CAP) in ≤60 year old subjects by Obiora and colleagues. It discusses the effect of the effect of benzodiazepines (BZs) on the risk of CAP. It mentions that the study was based on data from a large database which could have made a misclassification both in disease codification and drug exposure.
