Abstract

The article offers the insights from Ann Wright, a former Foreign Service officer, who resigned to protests the decision of the U.S. government in regards with the Iraq War. Wright mentions that when the government planned to oust Saddam Hussein, she express her dissent to the plans which was dismissed. She argues that government employees need to let their conscience guide them in their dissent.
