Abstract

Highlights: [•] From an aqueous MeOH extract of C. latifolia stem bark, six sesquiterpenes were isolated whose structures have been elucidated by 1D and 2D NMR spectroscopy. [•] Juvenile hormone III, an insect hormone regulating larval metamorphosis and reproduction, was also identified. [•] This finding suggests the extract of C. latifolia or its single active compound potentially be a source of candidates/precursors for development of natural insecticides. [Copyright &y& Elsevier]
