Abstract
- The article highlights evidence-based treatment with herbs and nutrients with good tolerability and benefits when integrated into psychiatric practices. It cites proposals that integrative mental health encompass mainstream mental health treatments, evidence-based complementary and alternative approaches and healthy lifestyle changes. It notes probes by modern medicine on biological bases of nutritional supplements and herbs like omega-3 fatty acids to understand their therapeutic actions.
