Abstract
- The article discusses how competitive intelligence (CI) can help financial planning & analysis (FP&A) executives improve scenario analysis by developing more precise and advanced theories about the market and competitors. A case study of a Midwest insurance firm that integrated competitive intelligence is presented. Instructions on how to initiate a war game that aims to combine forecasting and planning function with the CI process are also offered. INSET: How to Run a War Game.
