- Highlights: [•] Galactic Cosmic Ray (GCR) exposure during the deep solar minimum in 2009 calculated. [•] Assessment for near-Earth interplanetary space & ISS orbit using GCR model by Matthia et al., 2013a. [•] Highest absorbed dose & dose equivalent rates estimated in late 2009 since 1970. [•] Peak dose rates in 2009 compared with estimates from other GCR models. [•] Badhwar-O’Neill2010, CREME96 & CREME2009 GCR models produce lower dose values. [Copyright &y& Elsevier]
