Abstract

A case study is provided on plague regulation in early modern England through examining the Bubonic Plague parish of St. Martin in the Fields, Westminster, England and London, England during the 1630s. An overview of London and Westminster's policies of quarantine, including the isolating of individuals suffering plague in pesthouses, is provided.
