THE CHALLENGES OF LOGISTIC SYSTEM MODERNIZATION IN LIGHT OF CONSUMER SURVEY AND THE DEVELOPMENT OF HOUSEHOLD APPLIANCE E-COMMERCE.

The paper is a comparative analysis of 20 online stores engaged in the distribution of household appliances aiming at assessing the condition of this distribution channel in the process of logistics system restructuring. Purchase preference in various distribution channels of consumers interested in purchasing home appliances was also examined. Pilot studies conducted in large-area stores in Bydgoszcz on the sample of 100 respondents revealed that for this group of home appliances, only 37% of respondents surveyed in shops and 42% of respondents interviewed with the use of a web survey plan shopping in traditional stores; the remaining 63 and 58% are willing to make purchases at online stores.
