Abstract
- The article discusses the management of leftover waste. It notes that zero waste can be attained through the responsible management of the remaining 10 percent of waste or the mixed waste material that remains as a community heads towards a source separation program with zero waste as its ultimate goal. It presents a study which shows that Material Recovery, Biological Treatment (MRBT) is the best disposal technology for leftover waste. Higher recovery rate is cited as a benefit of MRBT.
