Abstract

An essay is presented on British artist Frank Bowling and his artworks. It states that Bowling was born in 1936 and a resident of London, England in the 1950s, then he was considered as one of the popular artists of his generation. It presents and discusses the different works of Bowling, such as the "Map" which portrays a colorful version of the U.S. Map; the fluid canvas "Bartica Born I," which he painted in 1968; and the "Night Journey," which alludes to perils and hardships.
