Abstract

Highlights: [•] TLR4 signaling increases the expression of MDA5 and ISG56 in U373MG human astrocytoma cells. [•] NF-κB, p38 MAPK and IFN-β are involved in the expression of MDA5 and ISG56 induced by LPS. [•] MDA5 and ISG56 positively regulate the LPS-induced expression of CXCL10. [•] MDA5 and ISG56 constitute a positive feedback loop. [•] MDA5 and ISG56 contribute to various neurological diseases elicited by TLR4 in astrocytes. [Copyright &y& Elsevier]
