Abstract
- The author reflects on the 83rd Legislative Session for public health in Texas. He says that the Texas Legislature has supported the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) and the whole public health community for their objective to improve the health and well-being of the public. He mentions that the budget for DSHS has increased from $5.8 billion in 2012-2013 to $6.24 billion in 2014-2015.
