Abstract
- Highlights: [•] We reviewed the evidence relating the use of analgesics with RTCs in senior drivers. [•] Only nine studies of medium and high quality fulfilled the inclusion criteria. [•] Evidence was weak in terms of number of studies, control of confounders, and consistency of results. [•] The explorative meta-analysis on opioids showed a marginal positive effect. [•] This can be attributed to poor adjustment of key confounders (e.g. concomitant illnesses, use of alcohol and other psychoactive medications). [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
