Abstract
- The author comments on a 2013 study of the generosity of male chief executives in Denmark, which concluded that executives on average paid their employees less after fathering sons, but not after fathering daughters. The nurturing and altruistic influences of female family members on executives are discussed, as well as the liberal voting habits of politicians with daughters, the psychology of men with sisters, and the charity of philanthropists such as Bill Gates.
