Metabolism of the phytoalexins camalexins, their bioisosteres and analogues in the plant pathogenic fungus Alternaria brassicicola.

Highlights: [•] Camalexin, 1-methylcamalexin and 6-methoxycamalexin are detoxified by the plant pathogen Alternaria brassicicola. [•] Camalexins inhibit strongly mycelial growth of A. brassicicola.
