The article reports on a workshop for librarians involved in a research and documentation project aimed at appraising and cataloging the holdings of historic libraries in the monasteries, castles, and palaces of South Tyrol, Italy, held on September 14, 2012, in the Marienberg Abbey in Burgeis, Italy. Topics of discussion included the RAK-WB and RAK-Alte Drucke cataloging rules and standards, the rare books collections of the Ferdinandeum museum in Innsbruck, Austria, and the Capuchin monks in the region.
