Baculovirus expression and diagnostic utility of the glycoprotein E of bovine herpesvirus-1.1 Egyptian strain “Abu-Hammad”.

Highlights: [•] A recombinant baculovirus expressing gE of BoHV-1.1 was generated and characterized. [•] The rgE in infected culture medium of was used as a coating antigen in indirect ELISA. [•] Specificity and sensitivity of indirect ELISA was high compared to a blocking ELISA. [•] Antibody titers estimated by both ELISAs were correlated with those determined by VNT.
