Abstract
- This paper sets forth the idea that creativity, symbolism and play are reflected in the analytical relationship as central developmental concepts belonging to the transitional space. They take place in a space between inside and outside, between subjective and objective. It all begins with an idea that appears, a pre-thought that is expressed, being nurtured or damaged, by means of words. Depending on the safety of this creative area one can play with ideas, try out new ways of expression and more fluid ways of thinking can occur giving birth to new ideas or further symbolism.
