Abstract
- The article looks at research funded by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security Assistance to Firefighters Grants program on the safety and effectiveness of compressed air foam systems (CAFS) use compared to water-only systems in structural firefighting. Factors evaluated include fire hose kinking, heat absorption, and gas cooling.
