Abstract
- The article reports that Russian Armed Forces were ordered by Russian President Vladimir Putin to be on alert status to assess their combat readiness, according to an article by Viktor Litovkin in the May 28, 2013 issue of "Nezvisimaya gazeta." The Russian Aerospace Defense Forces were evaluated along with the missile defense division. The exercise was the biggest military drill of the Russian Armed Forces in over 20 years and was meant for preparing against enemy nuclear missile strikes.
