ANFOTERICINA B SUBCUTÂNEA NO TRATAMENTO DA ESPOROTRICOSE FELINA.

The present study describes the therapeutic response of the subcutaneous amphotericin B (SC ANF B ) in 17 cats with sporotrichosis refractory to oral itraconale. The animals were administered SB ANF B, associated with itraconazole once a week, until clinical cure. The protocol used was effective in 6 (35.3%) cases, but relapse, stagnation and clinical progression also ocurred, as well as the formation of local sterile abscess. The proposed treatment regimen may be an option in the treatment of feline sporotrichosis. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
