Abstract

The objective of this research was to determine the difference in values of serum biochemical Amazonian pythons taking into account the sex of the animal. Blood samples from 62 Amazonian pythons were collected (34 males and 28 females) and subsequently performed serum total protein, albumin, globulin, ALT, AST, alkaline phosphatase, LDH, uric acid, calcium and phosphorus. The values were statistically analyzed by Krukal-Wallis test and ANOVA. The serum activity of AF was the only one that had shown significant differences, being higher in males.
