Abstract

Dermatophytosis is a fungal infection that affects domestic animals and involves the superficial layers of the skin, hair and nails. A total of 117 dogs were treated with skin disorders. These, 66 (56,4%) were diagnosed with dermatophytosis. The predominat etiologic agent was Microsporum spp. The occurrence of the disease was assessed according to sex, breed and age.
